Unwanted Autocorrect in table (Word 2003/XP)

    Hi,

I have several Word documents which consists entirely of text in tables. Sometimes when I am editing the text or tables (spliting and resizing columns etc), I find that Word has changed a word. For example I had "Mary Ann" in a cell and it changed it to "Ann Ann". When I checked the Undo, there was an Autocorrect emtry, which when clicked brought back my original text. Both Ann and Mary are in the Autocorrect list, but only to change them from ann and mary.

    Any suggestions.

    Hi Sue:
I'm still using Word 2000. However, are you sure you don't have additional autocorrect entries? If you have AutoCorrect/Exceptions.../Automatically add words to list, you can sometimes get unexpected results.

    Hi Phil,

I didn't know about the AutoCorrect/Exceptions.../Automatically add words. I have now turned them off and will see whether it works.
