    Upsizing Wizard (XP/2K)

Are there any free tools that will advise you of problems in your table structure and how to fix them before you upsize? If not free , then reasonable.
    Thanks

The only free tool I know of that you can use to look at your table structure is the one under Tools/Analyze/Table which looks at possible E/R problems. There is also a Performance option that will suggest simple relational additions. Beyond that there are tools such as the Total Access Analyzer which will do a comprehensive analysis of your design. My experience suggests however, that if you have a good table design in Access to start with, then upsizing will go smoothly - if you don't it won't work any better in SQL Server than it does in Access - in fact, performance is likely to get worse. The bottom line is to learn good relational design practices and then use them religiously.
