Auto date template

I have several letters issued monthly I keep to print as needed but the only date I am able to use is a standard month/day/year format. I need to make a date that has only the month without the day and year. Anyway to do this or am I stuck backspacing every time?

um, rmmmjm,

Sorry for asking- but as you've posted in the "General Office Solutions" forum, what application are you using?

Version and SR can help- but the Application (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access) would be a bonus.

have you looked at insert> date and time or insert > fields?
For word (since you mentioned letters) you need to use a field formatted like this: {DATE @ "MMMM" }

Re: Auto date template

You can break date fields (or CREATEDATE fields) into separate components. I often do this in my templates so that I can easily edit part of the date.

See <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.addbalance.com/word/datefields1.htm>Inserting a Date - and Making it Stick!</A> for information on how to handle date fields.

If you want a menu that gives you different kinds of date fields that can be inserted into documents, download the legal toolbars from (<A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.addbalance.com/word/download/index.htm>http://www.addbalance.com/word/download/index.htm). This is a self-documenting global template.
