Convert Text number to year (2000/SP3)

    My customer has account numbers that the last 4 digits are the date that the project started; i.e. 44760104 = January 2004 or 46501003 = October 2003

    I neeed to compare these dates to the current month and year and determine how old the project is. When I use the formula
=TEXT(YEAR(NOW()),"yy")

    , the result is 05. I am sure there is a bug somewhere. =YEAR(NOW()) produces 2004.

    Does this do what you want?

    =DATEDIF(DATE(RIGHT(C6,2)+100,LEFT(RIGHT(C6,4),2), 1),TODAY(),"d")

    You're doing too much. Try

=TEXT(NOW(),"yy")

    or

=TEXT(TODAY(),"yy")

    or else

=RIGHT(YEAR(TODAY()),2)

    This works best, I can use it across all the crazy columns.

    Thanks
