We develop a lot of enhance Excel and Word templates using VBA and COM addins and have run into a strange problem with Excel 2000 with the latest service packs, etc. We are not abl to set the "saved" state of the workbook object to True. We are using ThisWorkbook.Saved = True but it remains False and sure enough we get the prompt asking do we want to save the workbook. Even if we try to set the saved state usign the immediate window it still remains set to false. In additon no error is generated which would help us figure out the problem. We do not expereince this problem when using Office XP or Office 2003, only Office 2000 and we have the latest SPs. Also we have looked at knowledge base article located at http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=238488
Thanks
