Outlook Express and Hotmail (6.0 SP1)

Has anyone seen this problem? I was able to download my hotmail messages until about 1 week ago. Suddenly Outlook Express doesn't recognize my addresses. The password dialog keeps popping up and then the message says can''t access hotmail accounts.I can access the accounts thru the hotmail site. I'm running XP PRO SP1 with all update current. The only change to the system is I downloaded and installed Ashampoo CD recorder.

Re: Outlook Express and Hotmail (6.0 SP1)

Outlook Express stores its passwords in a part of the Registry called something like Protected Storage Subsystem. Persistent amnesia typically can be cured by deleting the account and setting it up again from scratch (or setting a "new" account and then deleting the old one). If that doesn't work, I think Microsoft has an article on directly editing the Registry. Hope this helps.
