    close page (2002/xp)

I have a data base that is menu driven using forms for menus, and macros for the selection buttons on each menu. there are multiple levels to the menu choices, ie: a choice from the main menu takes you to another menu that has multiple choices on it. (Confused yet?) When I go through these menus, they do not close as I choose another menu. How can I close the previous menu when I leave it for another?
    I'll bet you're really confused now. <img src=/S/confused.gif border=0 alt=confused width=15 height=20>

You can add an instruction to each macro that opens another menu form to close the present one. Use the Close action for this, with the name of the present menu form as argument.

You might also take a look at the Switchboard form created by Tools | Database Utilities | Switchboard Manager. The Switchboard can display an unlimited number of menu levels using only one form.

Thanks Hans, I should have thought of doing that. Seems as though simplicity is better than complication. <img src=/S/bash.gif border=0 alt=bash width=35 height=39>
