    "Un" Spliltting the tables...

Using the recommendation of the MS Access manual I split the tables to a different file using the Database Splitter Utility. I now have 2 files, one with a "_be" added to the file name.

    How do I get the tables back into the original file? <img src=/S/hairy.gif border=0 alt=hairy width=15 height=15>
    There is always a way.

Delete all links in your front end by selecting all the tablenames that are preceeded with an arrow. The arrow indicates that they are linked tables. From the menubar click on File, Get External Data, Import and select the database containing your backend tables and choose Import. Click the Tables tab, click the Select All Button, and then press enter. All the tables will be imported back into the table.

It is a real good idea to make a backup copy of your table before using a feature like the Database Splitter because if something goes wrong you can throw away the file you are working on, rename the backup, and you are back in business.
