    Halftones for copier reproduction (2003)

I want to be able to print master copies of a newsletter that will be printed on a copy machine. Unfortunately, as with many other copy machines, this one does not reproduce the gray scale of the printer well. Is there a way to print and have the photos converted into halftone dots so that the copier does a better job.

The copier does have a photo setting that creates a halftone screen, but then the text is also broken into a pattern that looks very odd.

If there's no better way, a clunky solution is to create a 'master' of the text only, and another of the images only, and print the whole thing in 2 passes of the copier, with different copier settings. Best of luck!
