Why?

How many answers (generic groups count as 1) to the question ...

WHY?

... can you get?

Re: Why?

Why not? (that's one).

This reminds me of my cousin (at two years) that kept asking Why to EVERYTHING!!!!

Re: Why?

Hmmm... I'd consider "Why not?" a case of responding to a question with a question, rather than supplying an answer. Still, others might call it answering a question with a question. Who knows?

But much better than Getting hit on the head lessons where we learn

MAN: An argument is a connected series of statements intended to establish a proposition.
MR VIBRATING: No it isn't.
MAN: Yes it is! It's not just contradiction.
MR VIBRATING: Look, if I argue with you, I must take up a contrary position.
MAN: Yes, but that's not just saying 'No it isn't.'
MR VIBRATING: Yes it is!
MAN: No it isn't!
MAN: Argument is an intellectual process. Contradiction is just the automatic gainsaying of any statement the other person makes.
Short pause
MR VIBRATING: No it isn't.

Re: Why?

Well, I'm not going to bother complaining. "If you complain nothing happens, you might as well not bother. Oh my back hurts, it's not a very fine day and I'm sick and tired of this office."

Time to move on to being-hit-on-the-head lessons.
