    #N/A (Office 97 / xp)

    Hi

The other day Hans most kindly gave me the instructions for the attached spreadsheet. I applied it to my master worksheet and it worked fine, so I started to extract groups of products into seperate worksheet using the same formulas. I did the first ten worksheets then I started to get the #N/A error.

I would be grateful if anyone can tell whats happening.

You're not doing anything wrong. I didn't expect the first value to be already larger than or equal to the search value, so the intructions I gave didn't take that possibility into account. In the attached version, I have added a new starting value in cell G6 and modified the formulas to include this cell. I have inserted comments for several cells.

You might have posted this in the original thread starting at <post#=393714>post 393714</post#>, since it is clearly a follow-up question. That would have made it easier for other Loungers reading this to know what it is about.
