    Re: Enter Network Password (XP)

Does this happen even if you tick the checkbox to save the password in your password list?

    Enter Network Password (XP)

I am repeatedly getting this "Enter Network Password" screen. No matter how many times I retype my user name and password, it keeps coming back. Any suggestions?

    Re: Enter Network Password (XP)

I have used MSN dial-up for 10 years and Comcast since it became available in about '97. My experience with those windows repeatedly popping up has almost always been an issue with the ISPs e-mail server. I'd give them a call and see if they are having problems in your area. If so, that's the likely source of your irritation. Ask them for an estimate on repair time.

    Re: Enter Network Password (XP)

This may be due to the registry containing incorrect information for the Protected Storage System Provider registry subkey for your account.

For details see the following Microsoft knowledge base articles.
Your Outlook Express password is not retained in Windows 2000 or XP
Your Outlook password is not retained in Windows 2000 or XP
If you read those articles you will notice that the procedure to fix this is similar for Outlook and Outlook Express.

There are quite a few articles in the knowledge base that point to this registry key and passwords not being retained.
