Windows Address bar opens twice (Firefox 0.9.2)

Very recently, the Windows Addressbar will open duplicate Firefox windows, for a website I type in. Firefox is set as my default browser.

The addressbar in question, is the one that can be added to the taskbar, which includes the start menu.

Any ideas how to resolve this duplicate window?

    Chris,

Try the steps in this post and see if it helps any. If what you are dealing with is what I suspect, the two issues are closely related.

That appears to have resolved my problem Mark. Thanks for the suggestion.

Strange that it happened, but I'm glad it's been fixed now.

    Update : (Firefox 0.9.3)

I've upgraded to Firefox 0.9.3 on the problem system, and the issue has re-occured a few times. I happened to find a reader comment on Slashdot, with a link to a his own site with more information about it. He's provided a registry file (attached, and renamed to .txt -- you make it .reg) here. It's worked so far for me. And much much cleaner for your 'average' user.

Of course, all warnings about modifying your registry applies.
