Recommendation of alternative email client program (n/a)

I am currently installing Eudora email client , as having problems with OE.
Does any one have any experience of using this program and would they recommend it or is there a better program on the market?

Also is Thunderbird better than Eudora as it takes a while to download being 4 meg in size.
Is it worth the download time?

    Any feedback would be appreciated.

    Justin.

I use Thunderbird 0.6 at home, possibly 0.7 - I can't remember when I last upgraded. It's user interface is similar enough to OE, that you'd be very happy with it.

I personally like Thunderbird a lot, but I've never been much of a fan of Eudora to begin with. And I really don't care for Outlook Express! Better is a relative thing, I would strongly recommend that you give it a shot. 4MB is really not that big for a download these days, although it might be slow over a modem...

Just a quick note... current version for Mozilla Thunderbird is 0.7.2
I haven't used Eudora in a couple of years, but I prefer Thunderbird to the older version of Eudora I used in the past. It all comes down to personal preferences (and the features that are available).

I just checked the T-bird website. As of today (August 5) the latest release is 0.7.3.

I have just happened to read a review of Thunderbird in a magazine and they praised it highly and thought it was the best email client program on the market.
I will definitely download it from reading the article and also from what you think of it.
