Undo macro action after running macro!!! (Excel 2000 >)

Hi,
Is there any way that I can undo a macros actions after triggering the macro. I know that I can close the workbook without saving, (probably the easiest solution), but is there any generalized code to undo a macro. Somehow ( I assume) I will need to store the sheets current settings and values, etc. Its not critical, but has someone got a proposed solution!??? I am asking this as I have myself been asked if there is a way to reverse a macros actions!
Regards,
Rudi

See Undoing a VBA Subroutine on John Walkenbach's site.

To quote Donald Rumsfeld:

as we know, there are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns - the ones we don't know we don't know.

So there...
