    Numlock State at Start

Where the heck is it that you can set whether the Numlock key is on or off at startup?

I remember seeing it during install, but nowhere since...

    Leif:

    Using:
    "
    Edit:

    HKEY_Current_UserControlPanelKeyboardInitialKeyboa rdIndicators

    Type REG_SZ:

If set to 0, NumLock is disabled for that current user after logging on. If it is 2, NumLock is enabled and will retain the settings from the last shutdown.
    "
as spelled out, I looked, and my 'switch IS set to 2...

Is it getting turned off during the user initial logon process?

    Leif:

And I noticed that it gets turned off when I log off. Using TweakUI, I've set the auto-logon, so, on a "normal" startup the numlock is on. But, as stated, when I log off, it turns off.

Have you set Numlock to be on in the BIOS? There are several threads covering NUMLOCK in the forum which may give additional clues.
