    FileSave (Word 97 and >)

    <img src=/S/hello.gif border=0 alt=hello width=25 height=29> Loungers

What is the name of the procedure that gets activated when you press the Save Tool button on the Standard Toolbar in MS-Word?

I have a procedure that is called FileSave in a module called MY_Utilities, and when I activate this module, the button stops working <img src=/S/drop.gif border=0 alt=drop width=23 height=23>

    Any help would be great.

    Thanks

Re: FileSave (Word 97 and >)

The little disk icon should invoke FileSave if the file has been saved before, and FileSaveAs if it has not. If you step through the code, can you find a problem? It is useful in a custom FileSave macro to check whether the file has ever been saved and, if it has not, display the Save As dialog. I typically check the Path property to determine whether I need to do that (see <post#=389911>post 389911</post#> as an example, or <post#=283508>post 283508</post#> for a more complicated example).

    <img src=/S/thankyou.gif border=0 alt=thankyou width=40 height=15> for the 10,000,000th time Jefferson

I changed my process name to SaveFile, and I made my own toolbar button.

    Acctually I took the disk icon one, and colored it red. <img src=/S/duck.gif border=0 alt=duck width=23 height=23>
