    Un-linking Paired Controls (2000, XP, 2003)

Maybe this can't be done, but here goes...

I add a field to the detail line of a report. Try as I might, I can't drag just the label up into the page header section. I can drag both up into the page header section, but I can't drag the label by itself.

Is there a way to "break" the link between a label and a text box, so that you can drag the label where you want?

Click on the label to select it.
Press Ctrl+X to cut it to the clipboard.
    Click on the page header.
Press Ctrl+V to paste the label.
Drag it to the desired position.

For completeness sake, here is the reverse procedure (re-linking a label to another control):
Click on the label in the header section.
Press Ctrl+X to cut it to the clipboard.
Click on the control you want to attach the label to.
Press Ctrl+V to paste the label.
Drag it by the black square in the upper left cornet to the desired position.
