Quattro Pro 10 files (XP)

Someone sent me a Quattro Pro 10 file (.qpw). Is there a file converter available that would allow me to open it in Excel?

The easiest solution is to ask the person who created the Quattro Pro spreadsheet to save it in Excel format.

Conversions Plus from DataViz supports Quattro Pro 9, you might contact them to see if it works with Quattro Pro 10 files.

    Hi Calvin,

As Hans mentioned the best way is to get the user to save it in .xls format in Quattro Pro.

There are some limitations with the conversion process.

Some functions in Quattro Pro have no Excel equivalent so will be converted to values

Formats will probably not convert properly

Macros will be lost[/list]Any converted file will need to be checked thoroughly for unexpected results, the conversion process is far from perfect.

I've requested a different format, but I think the creator of the file may be away, and was looking for another solution. Thanks for your suggestion.
