    Firefox Downloads (FF 0.9.3)

Is there a way that FF will let you rename a file to be downloaded before you actually download it...like the save box that IE uses?
    Thanks,

    Re: Firefox Downloads (FF 0.9.3)

    Hi Phil

In Firebird (I assume Firefox would be the same), if I right click on the download link I get an option to "Save Link As...".
This does what you are asking for.

    Have a Great day!!!

I think you first have to visit Tools>Options>Downloads and choose "Ask me where to save every file" rather than letting it dump everything on your desktop.

    Re: Firefox Downloads (FF 0.9.3)

Thanks, Ken & Jefferson. Ken, I know I used to go to a download site & just click the download button, but that is an option that I'll try. Jefferson, I used to have the option set, but I changed it because I save everything to my downloads folder. Maybe, it'll remember it as a default, so I'll try that too.

    Later:
If I right click & choose Save Link As..., it gives me the option to rename, but defaults to the Desktop. If I change the Download options to "Ask me where to save every file", it will default to the last saved place & give me the option to rename the file. Thanks again,
