    e-mail mail merge (excel 2000)

We have an excel file which we put in employees stock option info and their supervisor's names and e-mail addresses.

We need to send supervisors a copy of their workers' stock option info.

What I did is pretty time-consuming. I sort the excel file by supervisor's name (or their e-mail address), and then I copy their workers info to a separate worksheet and save it. (I name the separate worksheet as the supervisor's name). Basically, this worksheet is the attachment I like to send out to each supervisor.

When I sent out the e-mail. I need to copy the same e-mail content again and again and pick the attachment I need.

I wonder is there an automatic way to solve this problem? Thanks for your advice.

Does the code in Ron DeBruin's site help you at all?

    Thanks a lot.

The problem is: I don't understand a single code. I even don't know where I need to insert these code in. Macro?VB editor?

Can you give me a hint?

We need a lot more information if you want help with the coding.

Have you tried recording a macro to do the task? (tools - macro - record new macro)

If so we can help you try to generalize it.

This <post#=320321>post 320321</post#> has some links to some vb tutorials and some other excel help. Post back with specific details and question and we can try to help some more.

    I don't see any code?

If the code does what you want however, I would say it is "correct", if it doesn't you will have to be more specific.

Re: e-mail mail merge (excel 2000)

As written, the code sends the sheet with all the information to the person it finds in cell A2. To correct this, in the second subroutine "Sub Outlook_Mail_Every_Worksheet()", change

    If ws.Range("a2").Value Like "*@*" Then

    to

    If ws.Name Like "*@*" Then

Post back to this thread if you have other problems with it.
