    Custom template 2000 to 2003 (Word 2000 2003)

    Please help...
I created a template in Word 2000 with mirror margins, and borders that go from left to right in the header and footer ending at 16.5 cm. The paper ends at 18.5 (roughly) and everything looks fine when you view it.
The problem lies in this - when I open the template in 2003, everything is fine for a few seconds, then the paper size appears to become wider - the ruler still shows 16.5 cm as the end of the header and footer line, but the paper becomes wider (outside the ruler) for about 4 - 5 cm.
I have tried to change the paper size back a forth, tried to reset the margins - nothing works.
The gutter measurement is a 0.
It also prints out with the excess space in each right margin.
    Any ideas?
    Regards

Could it be that you have Track Changes on, or that the template contains comments? The extra space would be allocated for displaying the 'balloons' introduced in Word 2002 to display tracked changes and comments.

    Hi Hans
Track changes no, comments yes. So.... ahhhh yes, deselected View > Markup and .... problem solved.
    Thanks again, Hans
