    Locking drawing objects (Word 2000)

I have a drawing, done using the drawing toolbar, with all objects "grouped", that is anchored to a paragraph. I'm wanting it to behave like a picture that is "In line with text", but this option isn't available. I seem to recall using a "convert to picture"-type option to achieve this at some stage, but that eludes me. Is it possible to achieve this result using drawing objects?

To have a picture in line with text, you need to wrap the picture using the "tight" or "square" wrapping options. Wrapping options are on the picture toolbar.
With regards the convert to picture option, I have seen that occur when you ungroup a clipart image, mostly in powerpoint. The app. informs that it will convert the clipart to a microsoft drawing object, and you lost the clipart functions on it!

Thanks Rudi. That helped, but now I'm wanting to force all of the text away from the left and/or right of the object. Do I need to insert a bunch of paragraph marks to do this, or is there a more elegant solution? Unfortunately the inline option looks to be unattainable in the formatting options.

There is another wrapping option called "Top and Bottom". This forces text to wrap to the top and to the bottom of the picture. Nothing is in line with the text then!
Hope that is elegant enough. ;-)
