    custom toolbar alignment (2000)

I have two global templates in Word, each loading a custom toolbar on startup.
I know I can use caode to position these at top, bottom, floating, etc.
My code docks them at the bottom.
My question is, how do I get them to fit side by side if there is enough room? At the moment, each loads in a separate row, even if there is plenty of room alongside the previous one.
I know it's possible because the Adobe PDFMaker template's toolbar can do it: it loads in a separate row the first time, but if you manually move it alongside an existing toolbar, it stays where you put it next time you launch Word.

Have you tried NOT specifying the position? Hopefully Word will remember where the user placed the toolbar.
