programs that start automatically on your system (home edition)

If I wanted to open, say, Outlook 2000 automatically as soon as XP starts up, what should I do?

Place a shortcut to Outlook in your Startup folder. One way to do this is:
    - Display the desktop.
    - Drag the Outlook icon to the Start button.
    - Keeping the mouse button down, wait until the Start menu pops up.
    - Drag the icon to All Programs, and wait unti All Programs pops up.
    - Drag the icon to Startup, and wait until this menu folds out.
    - Drop the icon somewhere in the fold-out menu.

Alternatively, create a shortcut to Outlook and move it in Windows Explorer to Cocuments and Settings<username>Start MenuProgramsStartup.
