    Sharing Outlook (2003)

I'm networking a notebook with my desktop on which I've been using Outlook 2003. Is there a way to share the pst file or keep it in synch so my wife and I can respond to emails or check/update appointments at the same time?

    Re: Sharing Outlook (2003)

Here's how I did it. It isn't pretty, but it works. I also use my Desktop primarily but want to keep our Laptop current. I ran Backup on Outlook on the Desktop and saved it to a folder I created in My Documents named Backup Outlook.
On the Laptop I created a folder in My Documents and named it Backup Outlook2.
I copied the .pst file stored in the Backup Outlook folder on the Desktop to the Backup Outlook2 folder on the Laptop.
Now, on your Laptop, open Outlook. On the Menu Bar, click on File > Open > Outlook Data File. Simply choose the .pst folder you just copied into your Backup Outlook2 folder and the current file will be on your Laptop.
I haven't figured out how to close the original Personal Folders but I'm working on it!
    Good luck.
