    Word 2003 startup problem (2003)

For the last month or so every time I start word I'm presented with a "Save As" dialog box. I press ESC and the dialog box pops up a second time. If I then choose to exit Word, it asks me if I want to save Document1 even though I have entered nothing.

I'm using WOPR. Any thoughts on what I need to do to get rid of this annoyance.

    TIA,
    Roger

Phil Rabichow's <!post=Systematic Approach to Behavioral Problems in Word (97/2000),197827>Systematic Approach to Behavioral Problems in Word (97/2000)<!/post> may help you to pinpoint the culprit.

You folks are wonderful. Hans, I followed your suggestion to check out Phil Rabichow's Systematic Approach to Behavioral Problems in Word (97/2000). In it he had a link to the 2003 Support Template Knowledge Base article. I used the Support Template to check the possibilities. It turned out to be a COM Add-ins Registry Key for a "PDF Converter Help file." I deleted the key and I'm a happy camper.

    Thanks again,
    Roger
