    Form Printing problem ((2000 (9.0.4402 SR-1)) )

Attached is a word document with 2 screen dumps of a form as displayed on screen and the form when printed.

I have a problem when printing the form. On screen the box labeled O/S shows 0, The box labelled Total Settled shows 116,424.98 and the box labelled Incurred position (a summary of the other two) also shows 116,424.98. This is the current position for the 6th and latest record.

However, when the form is printed (from File and Print) the boxes are displaying 50,107.59 116,424.98 and 116,532.57 respectively. This is the data entered for the first record.

Does anyone know why the details for the first record is printing and not the screen view? If so how I can get the form to print and display the current position?

    Cheers,

    Niven

That's hard to say without knowing more about the design of the form, but I never print forms. I always design a report if I want to print data.

When you print a form, unless it is filtered, you print ALL the records, which means in this case, 6 pages. There is no way to restrict the page printed except by filtering the form down to a single record. In my opinion this is a waster of effort, since you can save the form as a report if you wish and control the record printed.

Well, you can select 'Current record' in the print dialog, but as noted, I never let users print forms directly.
