Shapes and Lines

I am needing to pick up the Y co-ordinates for the current line that can be used in the ActiveDocument.Shapes function.

    Is this possible at all?

Thanks for the help in advance.

    James,

The nearest thing I could find was this from the VBA Help topic for the AddLine method:

expression.AddLine(BeginX, BeginY, EndX, EndY, Anchor)

expression Required. An expression that returns a Shapes collection.

BeginX, BeginY Required Single. The position (in points) of the line's starting point, relative to the anchor.

EndX, EndY Required Single. The position (in points) of the line's end point, relative to the anchor.

Anchor Optional Variant. A Range object that represents the text to which the line is bound. If Anchor is specified, the anchor is positioned at the beginning of the first paragraph in the anchoring range. If this argument is omitted, the anchoring range is selected automatically and the

This doesn't answer though, how to return the x- and y- coordinates of an existing line.... (nor is "relative to the anchor" necessarily the coordinates you're looking for...)

    Re: Shapes and Lines

    Thanks for the reply, Gary.

I haven't had a chance to play with it yet, and it sounds like it might have some remote possibilities. I'll let you know if it works or not.
