    Setting Relationships (Access 2002 SP3)

    Hi all!
I have an Access front-end mde linked to an Access back-end that I'm trying to fix up for the users (I did not create it). No relationships were set among the many tables even though they could have been. Is there any benefit or any harm to me setting up some relationships now? I cannot choose any of the referential integrity options since there's already data in all tables. Please advise.

    Thank you!

If the data don't allow you to set referential integrity, it might be a good idea to analyze them and to try and clean them, so that it becomes possible to set referential integrity. Without that, there is not much point in creating relationships.

Thanks, Hans. That's what I wanted to know. Not much analysis is needed to determine why I can't set up referential integrity. This database was set up with total disregard for the laws of relational databases. Wish me luck! <img src=/S/groan.gif border=0 alt=groan width=16 height=15>
