    Re: Automatic Saving (2003)

You can save the workbook after the info has been put in using the SaveAs method of the workbook object.

wkBook is the activeworkbook, so you could do something like:

    ....
    ....
    ....
    wkSheet.Cells(29, 2).Value = Me![Description]

    wkBook.SaveAs "{Directory}" & [IncomeNo]"
    ...

if you lookup the SaveAs method in Excel help there are other parameters such as passwords etc that you can set.
    Thanks,

    Automatic Saving (2003)

Long code fragment (over 130 lines) moved to attachment by HansV

I have an access database which is sending data to an excel template. Is there a way I can save the excel template using a field in the access data as it's file name (ie:[IncomeNo])? I'm not sure if I have posted this in the correct place or whether this should be an excel question. Here is my code in access:

    Many thanks
