    Print multiple columns on a page? (2000)

    I've got a phone list that's only three columns wide. Can I get Excel to print these three columns three times on each page?

    I'm always trying to save paper, so when I see I can put two or three of these phone lists on each page, terrific! However, it's a bit of a task to duplicate the columns -- this is what I usually do -- but now I'm wondering if Excel can simply print the range three times on each page automatically.

    Thanks in advance!

    You could put code like this into the workbook before print event routine:

    <pre>Private Sub Workbook_BeforePrint(Cancel As Boolean)
    If ActiveSheet.Name <> "Sheet1" Then Exit Sub
    Application.ScreenUpdating = False
    ActiveSheet.Range("D:I").Insert
    ActiveSheet.Range("A:C").Copy Destination:=ActiveSheet.Range("D1")
    ActiveSheet.Range("A:C").Copy Destination:=ActiveSheet.Range("G1")
    Application.EnableEvents = False
    ActiveSheet.Range("A:I").PrintOut
    Application.EnableEvents = True
    Application.DisplayAlerts = False
    ActiveSheet.Range("D:I").Delete
    Application.DisplayAlerts = True
    Application.ScreenUpdating = True
    Cancel = True
    End Sub
    </pre>

    Or you can install my Excel add-in "Side by Side" and have the column arrangement done for you...

    Columns of data are arranged into two, three or four side by
    side groups (your choice). Data sequence is maintained and the area
    above the data is not changed. A new worksheet is created
    with the new column arrangement. Your original worksheet
    is not affected. You print from the new worksheet.
    It's easy to use and very fast.
    Comes with one page Word.doc install/use instructions - copy attached..
    Available - free - upon direct request. Remove xxx from email address.
