    Disclaimers (2000)

Does anyone know how to append / prepend text onto outbound emails? I currenlty have 200 machines and don't want to go round all of the machines and do it. If possible I would like to do this at server level. I'm running exchange 2000, however, I know this can be done woth exchange 5.5. Does anyone have any ideas??

    Thanks

    Re: Disclaimers (2000)

Microsoft has an article showing how to do this with some VB or VBScript code:

How to add a disclaimer to outgoing SMTP messages in Visual Basic (MSKB 317327)
How to add a disclaimer to outgoing SMTP messages in Visual Basic script (MSKB 317680)

If that doesn't suit your needs, it might be a feature of your antivirus package, if you have a mail server-based or internet gateway-based package.

Slipstick lists numerous add-ons; you could investigate those products.

I think it's a fair question why this isn't easier by now!
