HowTo - have pages without headers (2k)

I've created a standard template with a complex header and footer for page 1, then a simple header and no footer for subsequent pages. A user has modified the 'subsequent page footer' from nothing to a simple page number. So far, so good. But he now asks if certain individual pages in his report that he wants blank can have even the "simple" header removed completely, leaving the page empty except for the report's sequential page number in the footer. After such blank pages, the simple header/simple footer regime should resume. Is this possible in Word, please?

Any guidance as to how to do this would be appreciated. Thank you. - Mike -

Each such page should become a separate section, by inserting a section break before and after it.
Then, turn off "Same as Previous" for the header of the new sections (there is a button for this in the Header and Footer toolbar) and clear the header for the section consisting of the individual page.

Just to add to Hans's answer. Once you have divided the document using section breaks, you must be very systematical when using the Same as Previous button. You must start in the first section and set up the header, then move to the next and de-activate the Same as Previous to set up another....and so on. If you jump between sections switching on and off the Same as previous, it becomes a nightmare to control the process.
