    screen tip (Access 2000)

    Is there a way to display a popup message box on a form when you move your mouse over a certain text box that contains the value of the textbox? The message should contain the value of the text box, not the controltip text.

    Thank you,
    Larry

    You can set the tooltip in the On Current event of the form (so that it stays up to date when the user moves to another record) and in the After Update event of the text box (so that is stays up to date if the user modified the value). Let's say that the text box is named txtNotes. Put the following code in the form module:

    Private Sub Form_Current()
    SetTip
    End Sub

    Private Sub txtNotes_AfterUpdate()
    SetTip
    End Sub

    Private Sub SetTip()
    Me.txtNotes.ControlTipText = Me.txtNotes
    End Sub
