    Inserting a file/picture (2003)

Three questions regarding inserting into Word:
    1) I have a TIF file that is two pages, but every time I try to Insert/Picture/From File, it only inserts the first page from the file. How to I get the second page to insert as well?
    2) How do you insert a 2-page PDF document into Word? I just want it to appear as a picture and not a link.
    3) If I have an Excel document that I'd like to appear in Word as an object. I insert object and choose the "Link" box that should show the document on the screen and allow you to double click on it to take you to Excel. That way when you open the document in Word, you always see the current Excel document even if you made changes. I've done this before, but now it just keeps locking up and won't work??? Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your help!

    Re: Inserting a file/picture (2003)

I took a look at the threads and found that the Ghost???? site mentioned might be helpful, but it truthfully sounds like there's really not an easy way. I can convert it to TIF, but then to import the TIF into Word only imports the first page. I'll keep plugging away though.

    Thanks for your input!

Multi-page TIFs are a relatively recent format and many software packages don't recognise the fact that there is multiple images stored in the single file. I think you will have to find a bitmap editor that recognises multi-page tifs and use it to save the subsequent pages to a separate file.

What bitmap editors do you have access to?

    Hi Tammi,

You might find that, if you open the multi-page TIFF in a suitable graphics editor, you can copy each page and paste them into Word, one page at a time, using Edit|Paste Special and choosing the 'paste link' option.

    Cheers
