Looking for a free and easy program.

I would like to have a program that will allow me to type onto a page a paragraph with a title. Along side I would like to have another small page with hundreds of categories that I could highlight and hit something like "enter" and have the paragraph and its title put into each one of the categories in alphabetical order. When I open this program I would like to be able to go into the list of categories and view all of them or anyone that I choose to make adjustments. Can someone help me with this? I have a feeling there is a way of doing this but know very little to nothing about programming. I have checked out programs that claim that they could do what I want but it would mean spending hundreds of dollars maybe thousands going from one program to another. As you know, once you by any program, open the packaging, and try it out only to find out it is not what you need, you are stuck with it. No one take programs back for refunds. I have win.98Se, word 2000, and excel 2000. If more info about my PC is needed please inquire. Thank you. Please reply.

Hi Pauliez

I'm not totally sure of your requirements, but I'd guess that a "tree-style" organizer is what you're after. I know of several, and your choice may be determined by whether you want to include graphics, rich formatting or just plain text. All of the ones below are ware or by donation last time I checked.

GoldenSection Notes - download last version here.
KeyNote
TreePad Lite
Skwyrul PRO v4.0a
TreeDBNotes v1.0

I hope I'm on the right track here! I know that Treepad's files are plain text, so any repeated inclusion could be easily arranged via a search/replace (in a word processor for instance).
