    Excel 2003 File Properties (11.613)

I have two questions about the File Properties.
    1. What is the Revision Number on the Statistics page? How does that get filled in?
    2. Is there a way to turn on Save Preview Picture as a program default?

    Thanks!

    1. No idea. Revision Number and Total Editing Time are blank in all my (Excel 2002) spreadsheets. They are used in Word docs, though.

    2. Create a workbook with the settings you want, such as Save Preview Picture. Save it as an Excel template named Book.xlt (this name must be exactly so) in your XLSTART folder. Next time you start Excel, the standard blank workbook will be based on Book.xlt.

You can also save a single worksheet workbook with the settings you like as Sheet.xlt in XLSTART. It will be used when you insert a new worksheet into a workbook.

I'd guess that Revision Number is used when 'Share Workbook and Track Changes' is active.
