    Outlook not closing (2000 SP3)

Probably 7 out of 10 times when I close Outlook, if I look in the Task Manager under "Processes", it is still running. Consequently, it keeps receiving new e-mail. These new e-mails are not being filtered by my Rules Wizard either. Does anyone have an idea why Outlook keeps running in the background? And short of opening the Task Manager and manually ending the process, is there a sure way to make sure Outlook is closed?

    Thanks,

    Jeff

Thanks for the referral. I think I have resolved the issue. I'll be able to tell better later on after testing this out. But there was a "COM Addin" which I really didn't need and which was fairly new that I disabled. The initial test showed Outlook closed as it should. <IMG SRC=http://www.the-highway.com/rj/thumbUp.gif>
