    User maintain email list (2003 / 5.5 - mixed)

I'm totally new to Outlook, and so this is probably something simple.

A user has asked if they can maintain an email group (i.e. add / remove email addresses). They want a few users to be able to maintain the same list.

Thanks in adv. for any help
    Phil

With Outlook and Exchange, this is usually done through Public Folders, by creating a Contacts Folder which in turn contains Distribution Lists. Distribution Lists are collections of related e-mail addresses such as "Management", "Sales", "Finance", "Human Resources", "Football Pool", etc. Your Server Administration should be able to set this up for you, and they will need to provide Permissions to all the users who will maintain the Distribution Lists.

Not by itself. Think of Distribution Lists just as a grouping of e-mail addresses for sending messages to everyone in that group. But what you can do (or have Server Admin do) is create an e-mail account such as "new-sales@mycompany.com" (separate from "philhowell@mycompany.com") and then send messages from that sender to the Distribution List.

    Does this help?
