Displaying Fields in the Status Bar (2000)

    Hello Loungers

I was looking into displaying the contents of one of the fields on my form in the Status Bar. The Access help opens a link to show me how to do this using a macro but the link doesn't work to show me how in code.

I've tried different variations of StatusBar = "Details of Order No " & [OrderNo], all to no avail.

I could use a macro but then how will that help with my coding learning curve?!!!

    Any offers?

    Regards

    Graeme

    The VBA instruction is

    <code>SysCmd acSysCmdSetStatus, "Details of Order No " & [OrderNo]</code>

and if you want to clear the status bar

    <code>SysCmd acSysCmdClearStatus</code>
