    balloons and inline edits (2002)

Is there a way to show comments in balloons but show edits in-line?

You mean you want to go back to the good old days? I did try to do this with Word 2002, but as far as my researches went, it seemed that you could not. <img src=/S/bummer.gif border=0 alt=bummer width=15 height=15>

You can convert the tracked changes to look-alike markup, which would let you print the way you want, but that would be a one-way trip: there's no way to reverse that back to tracked changes again. If you'd like to experiment with this idea, try the macro in <post#=173394>post 173394</post#>. Please make a backup copy of your document first. <img src=/S/wink.gif border=0 alt=wink width=15 height=15>
