    HTTP 500 (6.0.2800.1106IS)

HTTP 500 - Internal server error
Where does this error originate - client or server?
What can I do to overcome it?
It happened once before, and went away after two days.
Has only affected my access to www.serif.com pages, including serif.com/forums/default.asp which I visit almost daily.
    All help gratefully received!

The HTTP 500 error is one of the "friendly" error messages but does not show what the actual error was. This error is on the web server and can only be fixed by correcting the web server software. The only way to correct it is to inform serif that they have a problem. Hopefully they should know and have the details from their error logs.

If you want more descriptive error messages you need to turn friendly error messages off.
    Go to Tools>Internet Options...
On the Advanced tab deselect "Show friendly HTTP error messages"

    Thank you, Tony.
There's something going on at Serif - they have now corrected this denial of access problem but the forum still isn't accepting messages: have let the HQ know.
    Have also unchecked 'friendly' messages.
    All help gratefully received!
