    AutoFilter Problem (2000)

    Hi,
I have a spreadsheet that is given to me every week by an individual and I use it for various reporting duties. There is a column called JON that I usually filter off of to make it easier for me to do my work. I use the autofilter feature and it has been working great. Well this person made some changes to the spreadsheet, he says he just moved data off one sheet and to another and I can't see anything else that he did change, but now the autofilter doesn't work. When I select an item, let's say when I click on the drop down arrow of JON column and choose "04FMAB", some of the items with that JON show up at the top of the list but it still shows all the other JONs below it. Any ideas as to why it won't work all of a sudden.
    Thanks,
    Deb

Remove the autofilter and re-add it. It seems that it hasn't picked up all the items to make the list and so is not removing the items. You might check for blank rows within the data, which can cause excel to not grab the entire list

I've tried that, but I'll check for blank rows. That may be the culprit.
