    EMAIL TAG (2000)

I have always had great service from Woody's - let's hope this continues!

I am looking for a tag for my yahoo email. I think you call it a tag.
It lets you know when the person to whom you are sending an email, has opened the document.
It should be free and work with yahoo.

Can you also tell me what the American expression "no brainer" means.

"no brainer" means that it is so simple that NO Brains are required.

As for you real question, It is the "Tracking" function of Outlook. As for this function using Yahoo email, you would need that that service from them. I do not use their email so I do not know if they provide such.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

    1. When you are creating a new e-mail, select File | Properties or click Options in the toolbar in the message window. There is a check box to request a read receipt. I don't know if this works with Yahoo.

If you always want to request a read receipt, select Tools | Options... in the main Outlook window.
On the Preferences tab, click E-mail Options... and then click Tracking Options...
Tick the "Read receipt" check box.

    2. A "no brainer" is anything (a task, a problem, an undertaking, ...) that requires little thought.

In addition to read receipts, you could incur the ire of your correspondents (and possibly alarm their anti-spyware software) by using a "web bug." If you Google on that, you'll get lots of information.

We may use the expression slightly differently, but I would say that a 'no-brainer' is decision or course of action where the proper choice is so obvious that making the decision takes no thought.

"I was moving into a new office, and I had a choice of a spacious office with a South-facing view or a cubicle in the basement, so that was a no-brainer"

Thanks to all - especially about the "no brainer"!

Alas I do not think you can use yahoo for a receipt.

Any freestuff out there do the same AND can be used by yahoo?
