    Calculate Hours (2000)

I am trying to create a database that calculates hours using a start time field and and end time field. I am having alot of trouble...Anybody know any functions that I apparently do not...
    Thanks in advance.

    Re: Calculate Hours (2000)

If you are using date/time fields, it is useful to know that Access stores dates and times with 1 day as unit - dates are the number of days since December 30, 1899, and times are fractions of 1 day (for example, 6:00 AM is equivalent to 0.25)
So you can calculate the difference times by subtracting start time from end time. This will give you the difference as a fraction of 1 day. You can either format this with a time format, or if you want the number of hours, multiply the difference by 24 (the number of hours in a day.)
