    Background does not print (XP)

When I create a colored background in Word (Format, Background) it does not print at all. I select a color but the document is printed without an color background. I've tried it on two machines with two different printers so I don't think it's related to ether of these. Any suggestions?

The Background is really only for use when Word is editing web pages. See <post#=255175>post 255175</post#>.

    Jefferson,

You can print with backgound colours in normal (.doc) use in W2003. Don't know if this is the case with W2000 however. Obviously, set the background colour via Format>Background. Then File>Page Setup>Paper Tab>Print Options>and select Background colors and images in the "Include with document" section.

Definitely a new option in Word 2003. Thanks for noting where it hides.

    Yeah.
    Thanks from me, too.
