    XP SP2 CD (XP Pro)

Last night I tried to install XP SP2, but we have dial-up service and I kept receiving messages regarding staying connected to the Internet. (Every 20 minutes we receive a pop-up box asking us if we wanted to stay connected. ) We eventually fell asleep and did not successfully complete the 3-hour plus download. Is there a free CD available from Microsoft for the XP SP2? If so, how do I order it? Downloading is simply not going to work.
    Thanks...ROBY

Information about ordering the CD appears in an earlier Lounge post.

It is intended that the SP2 download should resume at the point of interruption, but I haven't tested that! <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>

Hi Roby and welcome to the Lounge

Check you local newsagents. The official Microsoft CD of the SP2 update is being supplied as an extra coverdisc with quite a few PC magazines (or at least it is in the UK).
