    images in form (2000)

    Hi,

I've got a bit of an emergency here! My vendor went down and I'm trying to scotch-tape together a form that will do what he does. I need to get an image returned on a form. The name of the file is already in the database. I just don't know how to return the image based on the field with the image title.

    Lil' hep?!

Thanks in advance for your generous assistance... and yes, my office is on fire.

You haven't given very specific information about the issue. Does this sample help?

    Re: images in form (2000)

Depends how you want to do this, but if using lets say a command button, something like:

    <pre>Me.Image8.Picture = "C:18287-01.jpg"</pre>

Should do it, substitute control name.path and file name to your own.

If you're using a field which contains the full path and file name, then:

    <pre>Me.Image8.Picture = [FieldName]</pre>

If your field only contains the filename then:

    <pre>Me.Image8.Picture = "C:" & [FieldName]</pre>

If you want further help, post back with more specific details.

    Hi,

Thanks for the posts. And I aplogize for the lack of data. We are facing down hurricane Frances right now and I'm a little pressed. I'm trying something now through a Data-Access page. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Please consider this as a valid contribution to those effected by Hurricane Frances!

    Thank you!

In case Charlotte doesn't have the file any more, you'll find a sample database demonstrating how to display images on forms and reports attached to <post:=296,892>post 296,892</post:>.
