    Grape Juice recipe?

I'm looking for a good grape juice recipe. We have about 10 lbs of Concord-like grapes which I would like to try and use to make juice. I do have a commercial "Juicer", but from the recipes I've read online, none of them mention using a juicer. If the Juicer isn't necessary or as good, what are some of your favorite methods?

Oh...... just an off-topic question too. We were thickening an apple & sugar mixture on the stove when I got an emergency call to investigate a possible fire. (I'm on the Fire Department here) and the pot was left unattended. So, by the time I returned, the liquid had evaporated and all that was left was a thick (c. 1/4") layer of burnt residue. We've tried all the local "snakeoil" remedies, e.g., boiling a combination of: baking soda/water, salt/water, balsamic vinegar/baking soda/water, etc. but none really have loosened the hard black crusty layer. Any suggestions? <IMG SRC=http://www.the-highway.com/Smileys/giggle.gif>

I always thought you put the grapes in a big tub, hiked up your pants and walked all over them. No? In the old days, a foodmill might have been used, but if you don't like the taste of crushed grape seeds, that might not be the best choice.

As for the crusty layer, I'm no expert on burnt sugar, but maybe you can melt it with a blowtorch? If it was a nonstick-coated surface, it's probably easier to use the pot as the new home for an indoor plant.

You might try leaving it on a ant nest for a week.
If it has a non-plastic handle you could bake it in a hot oven before putting it in a dishwasher on HOT .. it will take a few times
